  1. It is amazing to me to look at how much African Americans contributed to the U.S. I was very intrigued with the invention of Garrett Morgan and how he improved traffic.

If there are driver-less cars in the future a smart idea would be to put something in cars that gives cars the intelligence to know when to stop and when to go.

Another idea that could truly help market this project would to make these driver-less cars have an incapability of being involved in an accident.

  2. I really enjoyed the discussion that we had in class about slide 9 in the PowerPoint presentation. Like Pierre Exy said it is amazing to see how much African Americans has contributed to the U.S but it is also amazing to see the innovation of technology that took/taking society to the next level. It is hard to believe that farmers at first would rather spend more time and use animals instead of using the tractor that is way more effective and efficient. It really open my eyes up to the fact that a innovative idea will majority of the time get rejected by the masses of people but in due time it will become the way of life. Coming to that conclusion that is stated in the last sentence really motivated me in regards to my future business.

I found this very interesting especially looking at it now. It actually makes me even more proud to call myself an African American seeing these successful inventors overcome adversity and becoming successful. What really caught my eye was the somewhat inverse relationship amongst number of farms and farm size. Like we mentioned in class discussion that collges will perhaps move in the era in which more technological are being offered. Less overhead and more mone

  4. I think that the one thing that surprised me the most about this class was Garrett Morgan. This man was a genius because he made so many great things that we still use to this day. The one thing that I want to know is his thought process. What made him think to go from creating the hair straightener to inventing the gas mask? The gas mask proved very useful in World War 1 when people started to use mustard gas to kill each other but these are two different ends of the invention spectrum. I mean if it came to it somebody might use a hair straightener to fight somebody but that is not its purpose. I don't know I guess I was just curious as to what made him think of these inventions.
