Transparent iPhones On The Way

Article by: Pieris Hodges

In 2014, Apple is known as one of the biggest the giants in the technological world. Every year they continue to put loyal customers and new customers in awe with their new phones, tablets, computers, and other devices. Each device comes with the simplicity and standard Apple design that has made them some great over the last decade. So how exactly could they change the technological age and game even more so then any other company? Transparent iPhones.

Apple has recently filed a patent on transparent texting app. With the transparent texting, any Apple user would no longer have to deal with walking and texting and not knowing what is in front of the user. With this new technological advancement, iPhone user will be able to enjoy walking but texting and seeing what is ahead of them. The technology would allow the phone to use the rear camera to replace the background on the phone while texting. The app will also be allowed for uses other then texting.

There is no release date for the app and no indication that it will even hit the market. While the technology may never become available for purchase, this is still a clear indication of what direction Apple is headed. I believe that this idea could be something that will help those that have their eyes glued to their iPhone while walking. It could potentially be a game changer in the world of phones and just add one more thing that could put Apple over the top once again. Below is a concept video created of how the transparent iPhone would look like

  1. Apple is challenging and righting the way we think about technology and the world. There impact is rivaled only by Google and Microsoft.

  2. as much as i like this, i see this to be pretty far fetched. I mean let's think about it - that's all glass..ehh i don't see it.

  3. I sincerely believe that the iphone has reached its peak and is slowly declining in value in peoples lives. When it comes to the iphone Apple lacks the innovation and spice it once had. Unlike years ago the smart phone market is increasingly saturated with low cost products that serve the same purpose as the iphone. For the iphone Apple has to either innovate or die at this point! Lets hope for the best because competitors are not slowing down any time soon and are exploiting bottom of the pyramid opportunities that apple does not particularly cater to!

  4. Even if it does work, Apple is just creating a new market. Once they do it, others will try to follow and thus saturate the market. I also agree with Taku that Apple is declining in value to customers and people are slowing moving into cheaper phone markets. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

  5. Yeah this innovation doesn't make any sense to me. It doesn't seem to make my life any easier. I don't think this will catch on.

  6. This seems like a novelty more than a real life-changing thing. But nonetheless, it's interesting. I'm sure some people would use it in order to see what's going on around them when they're texting. Especially in cities like New York where everyone is walking, this could come in handy so that you don't bump into people on the street.

  7. I would also agree with Taku about Iphone, I actually have one and I am ready to go back to my android. This idea is very cool, would I use it, probably not and plus it is also glass.

  8. This is a great idea to have as an option, it will save a lot of lives, and will definitely change the game in the phone industry. I can see this saving a lot of people's lives who walk and text. Other companies such as samsung and android will eventually copy apple's idea to enhance their users experience as well.

  9. This is not a great idea.People would ultimately get so used to not watching where they are going, that they would forget altogether. I do not think that this would ever catch on because people still do not trust technology enough to completely rely on it.

  10. I really love the look and feel that this feature brings to Apple. though this is cool this seems to be another generation that they are masking little change in the software and hardware with cosmetics

  12. Apple is doing too much now. I woould think that the copany wil face much more problems with screen damages. This is comng from a Galaxy user of course.
